That's the problem. I don't like the Dem's spending package either. It doesn't help the people who need it most. Period.

That's why the biggest issue for some of the Democrats is to get rid of the Trump SALT cap. It's not in the bill they have posted so far, but Democrats claim it WILL be in the final bill. It's a major Tax Break for the VERY wealthy to be able to force Taxpayer Citizens across the USA to pay for a Deduction that the Leftists in High Income Tax Cities have to pay.
At the root of most of this BBB bill is a pay-off to some group that will rake in the money - while the poor and Middle Class pay the price.

I hated Trump’s narcissism and some of his behavior.
But sadly it took a N.Y. narcissist and bully to get sh$t done and show the wimpy republicans how to fight back against the perverse crazy democrats and their corrupt media. He challenged the democrats anti-American agenda and negative ideology with MAGA and made “patriotism “ an acceptable word again…..

The greatness of the MAGA moniker is that it is not specific to a political party, but the whole country. It should be where most people both left and right can come together and be on board for each other.
The OP sees that things are not better. But remember - liberal elites never promised to make America great... they never promised to make things better. They told you to fear the boogeyman, and they will save you. The boogeyman can be different things on different days - race, Trump, COVID, anti-vaxxers, evangelical Christians, ... it's whomever they need it to be. So then people focus on fighting ourselves instead of making America great for all of us. Meanwhile the Pelosi family piles money on top of money with the family's Tesla stock options that she helped build up through favorable EV legislation.
Reasonable Democrats and reasonable Republicans need to come together and stop listening to inciteful rhetoric from both sides.
We also need both sides to stand up for fair elections.
You know you're right! I laughed at the jokes made about him and I still think he doesn't present himself well or professionally but I had to ask myself what disasters have there been while he was in office....he may have lied a lot but so do all politicians. Yes I have changed my mind and I think there are more moderate democrats and independents who are leaning away from the democratic party now.
Unfortunately, I think it's too late. We have another year of this bullet train to hell. I doubt that we will come out on the other side. I am glad that you have come around but....
I’ve been feeling more and more upset ever since the DNC robbed us of the candidate we wanted and deserved and put bare bones Biden there instead. We could’ve had a solid decent president where maybe we could’ve looked forward to getting some of promises actually fulfilled. But no, we’d rather give criminals half a million dollars because they had to suffer consequences of their crimes. I hate it here.

As someone who always voted Democrat in the past, I plan on voting straight Republican in the local election on Tuesday. I didn't vote last November....I just could NOT vote for Biden (he scared me and he's actually far worse than I expected!). I couldn't bring myself to vote for Trump either.
However, I'm hoping things turn and the Dems lose power soon. Biden scares me more than ever! He's been a disaster from the beginning! His extreme policies are not sustainable ....and seem crazy to me. The latest being he wants to give some illegal immigrant families $450,000 per person meaning that some of those families will be getting well over a million each!! Why and what does that mean? What about American citizens who are suffering? Why would we be rewarding illegal behavior for people who are not citizens? How does any of this make sense?
In addition, we are no longer energy independent! We were last year at this time and it's now driving up the price of gas and everything.....it's going to be a hard winter for many.
Afghanistan withdrawal was a disaster! There are still Americans stuck there and if that had happened as played out as it did with Trump in power CNN would be having a count of the days American have been left behind....the media is extremely biased.
Then there are all of the mandates which are basically unconstitutional! The Dems want to silence free speech and Biden wants to force law abiding and tax paying American citizens to take what is still basically an experimental vaccine. I find that outrageous! The vaccine does not prevent transmission...so what is this really about? $$$. yet those illegals coming through the border (another huge disaster in the making!!) don't have a mandate to take it.
