Maybe there is hope for a more centrist based Democratic party.
Unfortunately James Carville is an old white guy, so anything intelligent he may say as a "Democratic strategist" will be rejected outright by the DNC as 'racist'; especially saying wokesters need to go to a woke detox center. (That made me laugh out loud!)
Despite that being true, he'll be ignored and then ousted as being racist.
I've said it for several years now. The Democrats could win a lot more elections if they got away from the wokeness and the whole LGBT issues that try to force stuff down peoples throats.
Democrats really underestimate how much "wokeness" turns off moderates from voting for them.
People, including on the right, like the idea of a social safety net and worker's rights but the push for defunding the police, CRT, transgenders in women's restrooms, and illegal immigration has turned so many moderate DNC voters and independent voters off, never mind the GOP.
"woking" isn't popular now but as more and more illegals flood the border, its what will keep the dems in office. Its not about what YOU the american voters want with these progressives LOL. Yesterday's big red win will just push the Biden Admin to expedite their "woke cause" much faster and open the flood gates even further
There are democrats and there are democrats and there are democrats. Just like any other party, they vary from the right to conservative to the center to the left and to the far far left.
Wokeness, under different names, always existed. There have always been those that hate any order, hate any success others have, are always offended, even if the wind blows and are, simply put, not right in their heads. Not to mention a green fighter from Scandinavia.
it is not that they always were. It's that they were picked up and brought up and into the bright daylight and had blessing to do as they please.
And, as the Russian saying goes, appetite comes, when you start eating. You give little - more and more is asked for.
There's another Russian saying. Let pig under the table, it'll get hoofs onto it soon enough.
When you unleash those folks, they go full steam. Until those, who unleashed them, under whatever political gain premises, NOW have to stick to their own words and keep giving and giving and giving.
After speaking, Carville walked off saying something about "a mess o' crawfish."
