The primary purpose beyond parliamentary, of the Speaker is to pass legislation supported by the majority party.

Both parties have increasingly been comprised of factions within the party.

Pelosi has done a better job of holding the factions together than the two prior predecessors who resigned due to differences within their parties and no shortage of extremists.

Her public speaking skills have never been particularly good.

Between the House and Senate, there are 12 members who are older than Pelosi.

I don’t get it.
