Biden made some other, rather offensive statements about Obama's race...
"I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that's a storybook, man." - Joe Biden
I haven't watched the video, but what does black have anything to do with Satchel Page's achievements? I'm so sick and tired of race being brought up in literally everything.
If you're a great person, you're a great person, black, white, purple, Asian, blue, red, whatever. Leave race out of it.
Most of his career he was under segregation in the Negro Leagues of professional baseball
Nobody expected age related gaffes from President Trump.
Biden had been called out on making racist statements in the past, was used against him in one of the presidential primaries. It’s just not a age gaffe
Most of his career he was under segregation in the Negro Leagues of professional baseball
Any remarkable achievements in the course of said career? Or just another unremarkable professional baseball player?
Literally every professional baseball player in his time played under segregation. I only care about the merits that make him, Satchel Paige, remarkable. And being black and playing under segregation is not one of them.
And those achievements make him a great professional baseball player. The color of his skin has nothing to do with it. If we want racial equality, we need to judge people on their merits, and their merits only.
You are not allowed to purposely choose to use Negro instead of Black or African American. However when old people revert to Negro or colored with no malicious intent it is just age showing
Careful now. My grandmother stayed with colored until her death while her kids went through Negro, Afro American, Black and African American
