I'll check back for your answer. thanks in advance.
I believe he is referring to today, not over 100 years ago.

I would never want true Socialism.
Yeah, those northern European countries are basically capitalism with a large social safety net welfare type state but the citizens pay through the nose for it.

That is about as close to socialism as I could tolerate.

Sanders and the rest sort of screwed up in terms of messaging. If they would have figured out a way to drop the socialism wording and used something else,

I'm talking about just for selling it to the public only here. I don't want us to go that route

This is not right wing BS, it's listed right on those websites. The global elites want a one world government, to get there America has to go.

Hence turn us into wimps the way most of Europe is, if you can't see that then I don't know what more I can say.
Much of this is what the right (and to a lesser extent, the left too) is fighting for. The right is firmly against universal health coverage. They are for giving your money to the upper class and trusting it will trickle back down, even after four decades showing it won't.

I grant you, the right and the left have special interest in mind. Both are bad, but to your comment, it's EXACTLY what the right wants.

True.

Imagine congress telling big pharma the price in the US will not be higher than the median vs Germany, UK, Aus, Japan, Netherlands, France, Spain.

Imagine getting to take 4 -6 weeks vacation each year.

Imagine congress telling big pharma a drug must stay on the open market for a time equal it its time as it was protected under patent.

Imagine being laid off and not losing your health insurance or keeping it but paying the money equivalent to a mortgage.

The current supply chain problems are not part of a plot by elites to lower expectations.

Why don't you tell me how much they pay in taxes and we'll compare with your taxes + health care costs?

They don't have the clowns in Washington DC ru(i)ning their government.

Whatever they pay, it'll be triple if our feds did it.

And your solution is to put healthcare under the evil corrupt thumb of Joe Biden so that it can be bankrupted like social security, USPS, and Amtrak?

Yeah I'll take a hard pass on that. I already pay too much taxes. I prefer to pay too much for nothing in return than way too much for nothing in return.
