My guess is that they are waiting to see if they can cram through this BBB. They can't afford to have the slot open for any time as they need the vote.
The most of us didn't figure zBiden would last as long as he has. I gave him 8 months before he checked out with ...mysterious...causes. And that probably would have happened if just about anyone but Harris had the VP slot. Planned events had to be postponed. When it comes time to vacate the presidents seat they need somebody who can still be a puppet but give the illusion of actual coherence and function. Harris won't do. A president and vice president both replaced early in a first term. Gotta be a first.
By saying in so many words that that Harris might e a better POTUS than Biden, I was referring to her stances on issues, because if what she would like to see happen according to her recorded statements actually became law or policy, it would be the end of the U.S. as we know it, in my opinion.)

Well, it's becoming obvious that Biden is probably not gonna be in there for the whole stretch, so the possibility of putting the VP in charge becomes very real. And it's become obvious why even democrats were smart enough to see she is not competent in a leadership role. Plus there are major political headwinds on the way, and even she knows she cannot take the heat. People are going to be looking for real leadership, and that's simply not something she is capable of offering in any meaningful form.
