I saw this on a lot of conservative sites like it proves the vaccines don't work. But it's actually the opposite. Before the vaccines we had 2200 people with COVID on the princess cruise, basically the entire ship. Now we have 17 out of 3200 and no deaths. That's actually a very good, controlled experiment to show that the vaccines are working well. Not sure why anti-vaxxers think this story proves their point.

It was 700 cases, about 1/3 of the ship.
And at that time, they were quarantined for a month or so giving COVID more time to spread.
Also, we didn't have the rapid tests we have now. From my understanding of what happened on the DP was a lot of the crew got COVID but were asymptomatic, pre-symptomatic, and then would spread it room to room with the food deliveries etc in quarantine. If you re-ran this experiment with everyone unvaccinated, I doubt the results would be much different.

Actually, point to this is different.
You get 100% vaccinated and you are not ridding of the disease.
That’s the point.
No vaccine has 100% efficacy. Some people just don't develop sufficient immunity for one reason or another from vaccination. The ship numbers are remarkably good, actually, especially when considering that these cruise passengers are typically an older cohort. You picked a really bad example to make your point.

So our Public Health(TM) bureaucracy knowingly and intentionally committed a fraud on the American People, committed crimes against humanity by violating the Informed Consent clause of the Nuremberg Code (which specifically states that informed consent may never be obtained by....among other things.....FRAUD), and as a consequence, murdered thousands of people, by claiming the shots would end Covid? Got it.

It does. vaccines worked prior to Dr Faucis man made diseases.
The measles vaccine is about 95% effective.
Polio vaccine is about 99% effective, making it one of the best.
Mumps vaccine is about 88% effective.
Shingles vaccine is 85-90% effective.
Varicella (chickenpox) is 90%.
Influenza varies from 40-60% most years.
All have the added benefit of making the disease less severe if you do get it.
None of this is new. Not at all. I'm thinking maybe people have only heard about this recently from Fox News and think there's a "gotcha" attached when more educated folks, like those who paid attention in high school science, have known about it all along... that's the only possible explanation I can come up with for this misunderstanding.
