Fake News makes a choirboy out of Daunte Wright.
But in reality, he was an unproductive member of society.
1- He is a 20yr old high school dropout.
2- He has 2yr old son - no wife.
3- He has a restraining order filed by a woman.
4- He has outstanding warrants for aggravated robbery & illegal gun possession.
Now Kim Potter's life is ruined.
You missed the big one.....he shot someone in the head.
She is looking at 7 years on Man 1 and 4 years on Man 2. Juries are idiots I been on Jury duty so many can't leave their emotional baggage at home.
Two counts of manslaughter? But, only one guy was killed, right?
I thought prosecutors only listed two counts as a way of telling the jury, "If you can't find enough evidence to convict him on Manslaughter 1, then here's a Manslaughter 2 you can consider instead." They're not supposed to find him guilty of both, unless there are two dead bodies at the crime scene, right?

News show attorneys are saying she will be sentenced for both. I guess can convict twice for killing a person one time. Prosecutors are asking for upper end which could be as high as 20 years for both. Glad I never went into law enforcement in my 20's I had considered it I guess I would be retiring now but still can't see how anyone would even consider doing this job. I could see officers now being charged when struggling over a gun that goes off with a suspect because they shouldn't have stopped, or let them go even with a warrant.
He should have been in jail.....no one seems to care, that he shot someone in the head, and left them in a coma. For that, he should of been sentanced to life. Why was he not in jail?
I do agree, that negligent homicide would fit this situation better.
Maybe a few years behind bars.
I’ve seen kids lives go awry. They weren’t monsters like a lot of people want them to be. Definitely don’t deserve death and their lives should account for something.
