You purposely ignore that they reduced that number last week. Whole point of this thread.

No idea why they do not reduce to 85 percent right away instead of slow playing it. Israel never lied in its over 65 stats. California is not lying (exaggerating) either, despite being left wing politically.

you dont know what you are talking about. Many elderly do not need BP meds. they dont take cholesterol meds or flu shots or shingles or crappy covid and they lead long healthy lives. If you are sold on all those tools of big pharma and the medical, profession, go for it! but stop putting your needs on everyone else.

Raising my 73 year old hand. I haven't had or gone to a doctor since I gave birth in 1984. What pills? Vaccinations? My last vaccination was when I was 8 in 1956.

We are still alive and kicking in our old age without medical intervention or big pharm drugs.

Yes. While it is true that drugs have prolonged the lives of many people, people tend to overlook the fact that many people lived to the age of 80 or older even 200 years ago! Just looking at the age of death of POTUSes: John Adams lived to be almost 91, James Madison lived to be 85, Thomas Jefferson lived to be 83, and John Quincy Adams lived to be 80.

Greece is fining people over 60 who haven't gotten vaccinated. If 99.9% of those over 65 are getting vaccinated, why would Greece need to fine the unvaccinated elderly?

P.S. On Edit: Actually, if you read the article, it is obvious that the 99.9% figure is WAY off. It is just that the CDC has not corrected its statement.
Birds of a feather flock together. I'm not really buying a 95 percent rate either though. There's anti-vaxxers in my family as well so that's two people over 65 there. Self-employment maybe appeals more to people that have problems with authority figures, hence why they go self-employed. It's really been an issue the last few months. Turns out that a sizeable percentage of the people willing to do onsite jobs are anti-vaxxers. Since about half of clients now require proof of vaccination it's creating some issues trying to find non-anti-vaxxers.

All anecdotal but I'd hazard a guess at around 10 to 15 percent anti-vaxxers here for the over 65 crowd. Nationwide I'd be surprised if the 65+ group has a vax rate over 80 percent as I assume the vax rates in other areas are lower than here in coastal CA. I grew up in the Central Valley and there's far more anti-vaxxers there than there are here.

The CDC says 95% of those >65 have had at least one dose, and 87% are fully vaccinated.

https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tra...min-rate-pop65

So apparently it is your news source that is lying.

As of 2019 there was 54 million people in the USA >= 65. CDC shows 56 million people in the USA >= 65 are vaccinated. Where did they get those 2 million?
