Its illogical to you because you obviously think that gays "choose" to be gay. If you thought they were born homosexual, you wouldn't have any logical argument over something that cannot be controlled, similar to skin color. I would challenge you to have an open conversation with a homosexual, and ask him or her how they feel, how life is for them, if they were born that way, if they feel they have been discriminated against, or called nasty names and if they would like to have a normal family life as an adult. When you do this, let me know how it goes and what this person says.

If homosexuality is genetic, maybe by the time I'm ready to have kids they'll have a cure.
If it's not genetic, and it's psychological, environmental and social, he won't be playing with barbie dolls and wearing my shoes around the house, and there will be a parental lock on the t.v. so I can choose what he is exposed to and at which age. You can guarantee that.

I did not say is was genetic either. Find a cure?? Are you serious?!? Do you realize how hateful and offiensive that statement is?? I, (and I think I speak for most of the gay community) did not choose to be gay, but we are proud of who we are and after living through all of the negative experiences that we have because of people like you, would not want to change (as far fetched as your "cure" theory is).

As evil as that statement is that you just made, I am compelled to respond that yes, suicides are higher among gay teens. Why? Because of people like you that treat them like their some kind of diseased basket case or freak of nature. I dont know how people like you sleep at night.
