I can't say I'm surprised, our grocery bill is now basically double from a year ago. If anything inflation is massively undercounted and manipulated, if you compare the same items from the 1970's inflation is much much more than 7%

December Consumer Price Index Rises 7%

Industrial inflation is 25% in the US. This is out of country data, US does not provide them. Actual consumer inflation is hovering at around 15%, not 7.
Believe who you want to. I see prices in stores. All I need.

40 years ago, it was contained by raising interest rates.

2 years ago, it was excellerated by lowering them in an already overcharged economy.

To be fair, I doubt Biden has the political balls to raise rates enough to combat this, but I also hope he is not as stupid to keep pressuring to lower them.

Yes it is really bad. I picked up some candy at the checkoutline and when it rang up it was 8.00 for a tiny bag? I put it back.

I have had to start being really careful.

And I never used the stores "reward cards" until now.

And I am doing alternate day fasting....

These prices cannot stand.

I feel for folks who heat their homes with natural gas. I've been able to afford the elevated prices so far, but I feel for those who can't afford it and have had to cut back. Although I'm sure Democrats LOVE high prices for natural gas because they want to force everyone into electric heat because climate change.

Biden's economic gurus who told us Trump would crash the economy, stocks and record inflation if he was elected now told us the inflation would be gone last september...

don't you trust their BBB plans and the promise that someday in your grand children's future, inflation would recede ?????

I've noticed it as well. Normally, I shop at Publix on Wednesdays (senior citizen discount day - 5% is 5% and helps).

Two weeks ago I was going to buy chicken tenders to cut up and make a teriyaki stirfry. They were $6.99/pound. The week before, they were $4.99/pound. By my calculations, that's a 20% increase in one week. I ignore them and looked at the other chicken products. Chicken legs on sale for buy one package/get one free. Two packages on 5 legs each for under $6 total. I bought the chicken legs instead and adjusted my menus for the week.

I'm fortunate in that I can still afford the prices but I also don't have a family to try to feed. Can't imagine what those with 4 or 5 in the household are going through.

I've also started buying paper products and laundry detergent and dishwasher detergent at Target since their prices seems more reasonable and I get 5% off for having their credit card.

Biden admin needs to start living in the real world and going out to stores to see what people are paying for food and supplies. This isn't about treadmills being slow to be delivered to the rich (Jen Psaki) - this is about people's lives.

Yeah my grocery bill has doubled. I'm not even buying that much but hitting $100 easy every time now. Just bought 8 rolls of paper towels last night for $25. This is nuts.

Wow, so you really cant create trillions of new dollars while at the same time restrict the supply of goods and services, without negative consequence?

Its almost like they did it on purpose, because after all they are “experts” and would have known this.
