Let also acknowledge that its just one poll and that other polls in the same time frame still show Biden's approval somewhere in the 40% range. No, the polling isn't good for Joe Biden.

But the thing about approval polling is that when the polls were for Donald Trump, his numbers were low because so many people on the left and in the middle disapproved of his performance as POTUS. Biden's numbers are being driven by people on the right who think that Joe Biden is a socialist commie (or at least a front man for the socialist commies) and by people on the left who think that Joe Biden isn't effectively pursuing the goals of the left wing of the Democratic Party.

Trump had low numbers because everyone to his political left didn't like his performance as POTUS. That translated into Trump's defeat in the 2020 election.

Biden has low numbers because he's damned if he does from the right and damned if he doesn't from the left. If the 2024 election comes down to Trump and Biden again, or even Trump and anyone else, then is it realistic to say that those on the left will vote for Trump?
No Biden isn't sitting good but please don't make excuses for Trumps performance. If you scroll down on both links I provided the percentage of approval is broken down to reflect party affiliation including Independents. The political right doesn't approve of President Biden's performance any more than the "political left" did of the former President.

Should there be a rematch I don't think much will change because as Trump is still demonstrating he is incapable of providing answers to questions that he doesn't get to pick, time for him to grow up already.

WOW! Just WOW!

So much for all his five supporters saying "well at least his approval rating is as not as low as Trump's was".

Now they are lower.

NYP: Biden approval rating in Quinnipiac poll drops again — to 33 percent

"Biden also received failing marks for his handling of the economy (34 percent approve, 57 percent disapprove), the pandemic (39 percent approve, 55 percent approve) and foreign policy (35 percent approve, 54 percent disapprove)."
And this is with the vast majority of cable, broadcast and print news media cheer leading for Biden, and defending him at every turn, and covering up for him after every new stumble, fumble, bumble and mumble.

Amazing. And both of these numbers are from the "worst" President in history, and one that got the most votes in election history.

Anyone who still approves of Biden's performance at this point should be involuntarily institutionalized in a mental health facility. Failure to recognize Biden's egregious incompetence should be considered prima facie evidence of psychosis (delusional disorder).

Well, the Democrats controlled about 90% of the news coverage and social media. Tens of millions of Americans were fed a steady stream of lies and false narratives, and they went on to elect a man who barely ever left his basement, and when he did, he only drove a few miles to speak before dozens of people.

This past election, and the resulting idiot for president we ended up getting stuck with, should be a giant red pill for millions of Americans.

To be fair, Trump had to contend with Hillary's big lie. Trump Russia collusion was shrieked everywhere. Tough to compare.

As many here know, I'm not a big fan of Biden. The only reason I voted for him was he was not Trump.

The poll numbers are the result of many things, Including the pissing contest in the democratic congress.

All y'all who think Trump is the best POTUS has ever had please tell me with the conditions currently in the world, how would a 2nd term POTUS Trump handled things to prevent the inflation and supply line shortages. He was ready for the 2nd round of giving away Covid money.

I know he would have done a better job on the border. That's why I had a Trump sticker on my car for a while.

So based on this, do you believe that walls don’t work, that the cops are worse than the criminals, that systemic racism is real, that gender is a personal decision we can make and change anytime we want, that BLM and antifa supporters are protesting but what happened on 1/6 was an insurrection, that BLM but it’s okay to abort a living breathing human being in the womb?

I could go on forever on this...
Both of these can be true at the same time. I'm in pretty much the same situation as JB up there. I'm actually much better off now than I was in 2016. That said I agree completely with you. I see without a doubt that Brandon is wrecking the country in almost every imaginable way. For the most part I think people should live their own experiences and stick to fighting the battles that come to their doorstep ... as opposed to activists who live in a state of outrage over everybody else's business and to wider issues that really have no impact on them. However, only a fool puts his head in the sand while everything is obviously crumbling around them. Biden and the liberals' turn at the helm is driving us so rapidly into social and economic oblivion which will sooner or later pull down everyone.

The election is not in a silo where they are voting on "just him". It will be a vote against another opponent. If he runs against Trump or DeSantis, he has a pretty good shot. If the EITHER party chooses to put up a viable candidate (not likely, it seems), it's a very different election.

So far, the only way Republicans can even make it close is to steal votes via district gerrymandering. With Biden as the candidate, that tactic has a better chance of working.
