Not in the least unusual. It has always been the case that the presidential election gets more attention than anything downballot.
While that's true, what's extremely unusual about the 2020 election was the HUGE disparity between Republicans and Democrats in downballot voting. Even more bizarre was that Biden didn't take the lead in key states until many more "found" ballots were counted very early in the day the following morning.
The real question here is why would anyone need to stand in line that long to vote? There should be enough polling places in any area to handle voting smoothly and efficiently. Even in peak hours in the morning and afternoon no one should have to wait over an hour.
Better yet, make mail-in ballots available to all who want them. No wait, no problem, no laws needed to cover electioneering at the polling places.
Ahhh well here in hot Fl the Republicans closed down the extra polling places we had, causing very long lines. During Obama- I waited in line 6 hrs., to go to work and came back the next day. As we have an issue with lost ballots- I go in person. Republicans have real issues with losing. Some rep just lost 20/80 on a landslide and won’t concede.
.
Florida Republican who was defeated by 59 percentage points in a congressional special election won't concede
Democrats are not the ones who are reducing the number of polling places. Texas is one of the most egregious offenders run by republicans.
County Boards of Elections run the elections in their wards/precincts. Nearly all of the problems with long waiting lines to vote are in Democrat-governed counties.

I can tell you in Gore n Bush they found 2 vans full of Democratic ballots in the Everglades after the fact. I knew some cops who talked about it. Nothing in the news about it.

Clearly, an extremely high percentage of the votes that were counted in the very early morning of the next day in key states were Biden only votes. We know that because the downballot results of whether a D or R was leading didn't change much or at all with the addition of all those extra votes.
President Biden and Vice President Harris parachuted into Georgia last week to deliver an inaccurate and inflammatory voting rights speech. Their divisive and condescending claims have zero basis in fact and are nothing more than politically driven rhetoric meant to mislead the public – but Georgians aren’t buying it.
The Biden Administration wants to change filibuster rules so their is a glimmer that is could be passed. It seems almost all Republicans are against it, along with enough Democrats to not even make it feasible to go down this route.
It's insanity. Our US Congress has a tied up Senate, and a razor thin majority of dems in the House. We have not had such a slim dividing line along political part affiliation in over a century, and yet, this is when Biden claims "our US Democracy is in peril" if his 50/50 Senate does not vote his way????
The majority, 52 Senators, oppose doing away with the filibuster, and yet Joe is shouting and lecturing to us, claiming "a minority of Senators" are blocking his agenda. Joe "You know the thing" Biden is the worst president in US history
