Wow, New Hampshire is flooded with guns and the residents and their Republican governor cherish our 2nd Amendment and the state of 1.3 million people has had just 1 homicide by gunfire.

Heavily Democratic Philadelphia which has a little bigger has had 71 homicides.

Republican Wyoming has the 2nd highest ownership rate in America and yet has only had 1 homicide this year, Democrat Baltimore with a similar population has had 49 homicides.

Wyomings population density is 1 person every 2.3 square kilometers. So I cant IMAGINE why they might be different......

South Korea is similar in geographic size to the state of Indiana. South Korea has a population density of 1,366 per square mile; Indiana's is 187. So, you'd expect that place with the vastly lower density to have fewer murders, right? Nope. South Korea's murder rate was about 0.6 per 100,000 in 2018, the most recent data I could find. Indiana's was 7.2 per 100,000 in 2019. (About half the state's murders are accounted for by Indianapolis.)

Population density, in and of itself, is not the driving factor in homicide rates.

The homicide rates in these states or others have absolutely nothing to do with density. People are not spread out evenly (1 person per 2 square miles) throughout Wyoming. They live in cities just like anywhere else. You sense of logic, or lack thereof, is too funny.

"Demographics are destiny." It's very easy to predict the violent crime rate of any US city just by looking at the demographics. The Color Of Crime by Jared Taylor is a good read on the topic.

Lincoln Park (CHicago) and Austin (Chicago) have about the same density, very urban and yet they have about 1 murder per year and 40 per year (per 100k people).

They're also only a couple miles apart.

But we're told the problem is guns from other states or maybe it's because or rap music?

Politicians aren't trying to honestly address the issue, they're just trying to shift the blame to others.

The cities have less than 75k population- and most seem to be middle class income. Nothing to really fight about. They have some, but it’s relative to population and I would add weather. Does it ever get hot there?

It has everything to do with the owners of guns that either acquired them Legally or Illegally.

Someone that bought a gun Legally will generally be safe and follow all the laws that pertain to owning it.
Someone that bought a gun Illegally should be asked why they felt the need to buy it. The chances are their answer has a lot to do with what they are up to or the people that live around them. The presence of gangs and crime in the inner cities is the motivating factor for many to get an illegally obtained gun.

It really is all about demographics, society and a persons upbringing whether they will become a person that uses the gun as a tool or self defense or the person that uses it as a criminal.

Really ? Can’t commit that to school shooters. Can’t say that of domestic violence, and those murder suicide crazies. Evil has no boundaries. Rich people kill, poor people kill, the wealthy get their goons to do it and young kids kill. Anger, desperation, fear and twisted minds such as drunks, the drugged and mentally challenged and PTSD folks kill. Police kill. This dude in court now for killing a man over popcorn.

Yes Really. I was talking in general terms.

In many cases we have seen where a stolen gun has been used to kill. We have seen cases where deranged kids steal his parents gun and takes it to school It happens.

Generally speaking, people that own an illegal gun are more careless with that gun and they are not afraid to use it in their trade. Whenever we see a big drug bust there is always a stack of cash, a pile of dope and guns. They are tools of the trade.

The majority of Black on Black shootings in the inner cities are generally carried out by guys that have no fear of pulling that trigger and killing someone.

You are correct that "Evil knows no boundaries" and Evil will always find a way be it killing with a gun, knife, club or a truck.

The deranged, mentally challenged, angry and those with nothing to lose are the problem.
