I wouldn't underestimate him. He knows that the U.S. is now lead by the weakest President in generations. If he's going to do it, now is the time.
Does not matter. His army was far worse than anyone imagined and he doesn't have the troops.

The statement probably was for domestic consumption.
Snapshooting this from the OP, so I would not be surprised if someone has said this before.
Given their performance in the Ukraine invasion, they wouldn't have a snowballs chance in hell of invading Alaska. We could easily stop them from crossing the Bering Strait.
Russia talks like a big boy, but Pooty Poot doesnt want war with the US. He's not that bold.
Russia has been afraid of Alaska for a while. From the July 31, 1958 N.Y. Times (link): "MOSCOW, July 30 (AP)-Krasnaya Zvezda, the Soviet Army newspaper, said today that statehood for Alaska had turned it into "a military, strategic bridgehead, for an attack on the Soviet Union." Old whine (sic) in new bottles.
LOL. Yeah buddy. Im sure Russia feels that way a lot right now. I mean its not like Biden has done a ton of work to help fight against Russia in Ukraine. Oh wait. yes he has.
If Russia thinks they could take Alaska they are delusional. I suspect Alaska has a LOT more guns then people. And then theres the rest of the US. LOL. Bring it.
