Some things never change, especially in far-left governments.

"New" voters?

I'm kinda speechless. You know it was a primary, right? Not a general election? And you know that primaries generally don't garner a high turnout, right?

What did you mean by "new" voters? These are same people who've been registered and voting for years. Most people don't vote in primaries. Half a million more Republicans did this year than normal. That was the point.

"New" voters? Can you explain that? It makes no sense, assuming that you understand elections, and I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt here because otherwise.. wow..

Maybe Repubs now have better counting machines than the Dims used to steal 2020. Either way, 2022 is lining up to be the biggest election route in US history with Repubs taking back the House, Senate, Governorships and state legislatures, for starters.

The party that draws more voters in Texas’ open primaries is not a reliable indicator for who will win the general election in November.

“Turnout in the state for primary elections remains perpetually low. But this is true regardless of election year,” said Joshua Blank, the research director of the Texas Politics Project. “It’s not representative or indicative of what’s going to happen in the coming election cycle.”

Are you saying that’s why Biden won in 2020?

I’m not saying it’s impossible for the Left to manufacture votes in Texas - but it’s sure not easy.

As to the Voter turnout - I always vote in every election. I have also worked the Polls as an Election Clerk.
Republicans hold every Statewide Seat in Texas - the GOP turnout is essentially to Elect Statewide races.
Many Republican incumbents don’t even have Democrats running against them, same is true for many Republicans not being Primaried.

This year, there were only about a half dozen seats that were a serious race for the Democrats.
They were mostly for District races, only one for a Statewide race. Robert Francis O’Roarke for Governor on the Dem side and everyone knew he would be the winner - he got 91% of the vote.

Texas was ruled by Democrats for over 100 years - that all changed in the late 90’s. I used to always vote in the Democrat Primaries, because we were really choosing the Statewide Races. It’s also why Texas Democrats were more Centrist, they wanted to keep their seats.

That’s why there were more Republicans voting than Democrats.

If we joined the rest of the developed world in mandating voter ID, there wouldn’t be any question.

I think this MIGHT lead to the conclusion that those who feel the most threatened by a current administration are more likely to go to the polls.

IF that is true, I predict a huge turn-out in 2022 and 2024 by conservatives and those in the middle class who pay taxes.
