Your stellar citizen young person proves no one was "forced to listen to" some random politician. What that politician was introducing to all of them was this strange concept of choice. It didn't seem like anyone knew it existed. About half took them off and half left them on. Good! If he hadn't mentioned it then no one would have that wonderful experience of choice. Good for him.
Like I said, good for the young man who kept his on. The video I saw didn’t show many of them but he kept his on.

That young man may live with someone not able to be vaccinated and so is afraid of bringing the virus home to his loved one.

You know what I know?
I know that I’ve worn a mask while working with the public for as long as I’ve been asked to do so. I am an essential worker and have worked through the entire pandemic. My shifts are seven+ hours long, and I am masked at all times except when I leave for lunch.
I also have asthma and I am a senior citizen.
I have not contracted Covid nor has anyone in my household. My breathing hasn’t been restricted nor have I suffered any brain damage from lack of oxygen.
Want to try to prove that my wearing a mask hasn’t kept me from contracting the virus or bringing it home?
Personally, I would not want my child feeling that he or she needs to listen to some random politician on health issues. We live a certain lifestyle and are health conscious people (with or without COVID).

How is it bullying when he said, "If you want to wear them, fine." That sounds to me like he was leaving it up to the kids to decide for themselves. Again, how is that bullying?

Not a leftist or a rightist. I am a health-conscious individual. Health is part of my religion. Stop trying to force me or my children to adhere to your views.
Yes, it is and you have a choice. FL has long had their choice. Stop barking at people who choose differently that you. Allow us our choice.
