I almost forgot that laughable partisan witch hunt was still ongoing.
I think they have to know that no one that matters is going to take them seriously.
They don't care. It's not about convincing anyone of anything.
This is about three things:
1. Prevent populist republicans from running for office. If they can force some charges, their targets can't run for any public office. This is the main event - keep Trump from running in '24.
2. What they come up with will become the official version of history. They aren't trying to convince you of anything - they're telling your grandchildren what happened, and your grandchildren will believe it.
3. Building a legal foundation for the new "War on Domestic Terror," where anyone espousing our founding principles of individual freedom and limited government will be deemed a terrorist.
Looks like the Jan 6 committee is starting to release some findings. And since they're still meeting and holding hearings there's probably more to come.

None of them have ever been involved in a criminal investigation or inquiry. The fact they believe that they can dig up more credible evidence against Trump or anyone else than seasoned FBI criminal investigators, intelligence analysts, evidence technicians and attorneys is ludicrous. This is nothing but a partisan hatchet job and a waste of our tax dollars.

The problem with that is they don't have the credibility to be believed and they don't have the power to stop anyone from running.
They'll try, sure, but they'd lose a court challenge.
On top of that you can bet they'll face a backlash after the red wave this fall. I don't see the upside in this for them. It's just out of control TDS.
