Pretty simple-have you looked at housing prices? Rent? Fuel? Food? Health insurance? And the biggie for most people-TAXES. Problem is that kind of income means you get to pay all your own way-you don't get the handouts lower incomes do, but you don't have the income to afford any hickups.

According to this, nearly 40% plan to travel during Spring Break, up from 29% in 2021. Vbror reporting a nearly 50% increase in demand compared to 2021.

And yes, I agree that this inflation will continue to increase, and be w/ us until the Feds reduce spending....Feds reducing spending ROFL
You are forgetting my situation.

- Drowned in debt
- have 2 kids and one is a toddler and the other extremely high needs ADHD and demands constant attention and wakes at 4am

We have student loan debt, medical debt, a small business that is essential to keep us afloat because at this point we only make combined just enough to barely scrape by

And due to illnesses and school snow days, we had disaster days one of us had to take off work because no childcare no school no activities

We are exhausted and in so much debt and we do not spend a thing we don’t need, though some items in our home were broken by the kids while both of us couldn’t get out of work at the same time and one of the kids managed to force a bottle cap down a sink and clogged the drain and we had to pay a plumber

Your situation, although unfortunate, is not relevant to a discussion related to the masses (unless you're implying it's typical for the majority of people earning $100k or more to have the same situation as you).

Interesting point....then the key is if $100k is the new norm....live like you make $70k
