In a word, both the far right and White Nationalists are Reactionary (status quo ante). It varies from nation to nation, but generally it stands for
- returning to former traditional cultural values that even mainstream society has long rejected,
- if not group-national identity (not necessarily race-based, but often xenophobic), then it's national sovereignty even at the expense of global well-being
- traditional gender roles,
- returning to the "natural" ways of doing things (at the very least, a return to small town and rural values; at its worst it tends to think merciless dog-eat-dog competition gives the best results)
- if religion's involved, it involves return to "old time religion" and/or greater church involvement in government affairs (though certainly not all far rightist advocate this).
Seems like Putin supports all this too.

It's because when you get down to it, they share a very similar ideology with Putin.
- Call to return to "traditional values" (especially returning to the Christian religion, anti-LGBTQ+, linking respect-worthiness with conformity to traditional gender roles and especially disrepect-worthiness with inability or refusal to conform to such roles)
- Infected with nostalgia and deluded as to how great that past society was.
- Obsessed with law, order, and discipline - on both national and personal levels. Ultimately one level supports the other. Which leads to the next point...
- Glorifies social dominance and the other so-called "manly" traits. Often implies that they're the only measure of personal worth; at least forcefulness of personality but extra points if physical forcefulness as well.
- Strong respect, if not admiration, of wealthy people (can compensate for low-average levels of social dominance to an extent).
There's no doubt other traits, but all this is what immediately crosses my mind.

Your idea of what constitutes traditional values and what conservatives believe is absolute hogwash - also ignores that Putin is about as anti christian as you can get. The delusion is your beliefs more than anything else.

Attempting to equate the right with white nationalist is really false - might as well equate the left with socialists or communists. Putin has many more ties with those left leaning groups being in charge of FSB that was responsible for enforcing those values than with White Nationalists (neo-nazis).
In case you don't know, Putin specifically gave defeating neo-nazis and banderites (Ukraine right wing nationalists) as some of his reasons to attack Ukraine. He is much more aligned with the left than the right.
