After watching the current Administration sink in the polls, they knew what had to be done. Have Biden come out and talk about "building American" again, have him back off the Green New Deal push, start talking seriously about inflation and helping the working class Americans again. In other words, start putting Americans first, at least a little bit.
Like I said, they knew what they needed to do to raise the polls a tiny bit.
Let's see how long he talks like that, and if he actually follows through on it.

Gas guzzling cars are not the fault of car manufacturers as much as it Americans who demanded such cars. Manufacturers just give the public what they want.
However, I do think that the increase in gas prices is mostly attributable to the decisions of the Biden administration and also those in favor of clean air, no matter what it costs -- and also, possibly, to Republican "oil barons" intent on punishing the Democrats (although that might be a huge stretch and leap of imagination). In other words, I think there might be plenty of factors involved and plenty of blame to go around.
How else do you explain that before Biden came into office, gas prices where I live was $1.89 a gallon and only a month or two later, it jumped to about $2.74 a gallon (if memory serves)?
You did hear of oxygenated gas.. they pump oxygen into the gas today and it gets lousy gas mileage. Is this what Biden is working to get Americans to do.
Yes it would. Putin's been planning on this for 15 years. He's old school Soviet, he wants the Ukraine land back. Trump was born to play the victim. He's doing it very well. People are tired of it and him. No one likes a constant crier. Now even Bill Barr says its time for the Rep party to move on.

Given everything going on right now, I can’t imagine WHY anyone would think Joe Biden is doing a good job.
It's one week. It's 1,200 people. He's still way below 50% on Independents. Dems are still crazy high at 90%, which suggests they didn't ask any progressives nor "moderate" Dems that voted for "the adults" but know as does everyone there's been very little done right in 13 months.
The poll I read showed 35% support for Biden after the state of the union address.
I guess idiocy is all in the eyes of the beholder.
