Does anyone really believe that biden will deal any real consequences against Russia? Like his one-time boss said, "Don't underestimate joe's ability to f*ck things up".
Diplomacy and planning works slow, at times like this mostly behind the scenes that the public is not aware of so it appears nothing is being done. And things, I'm willing to bet are happening. Putin has literally opened a hornest nest, seems he's forgotten that every action has a reaction, surely one he didn't expect across the board. I doubt any former Soviet satellite that has tasted freedom in any way would want to go back to a depressive regime that it's already starting to happen in Russia.
Anyway, here is a good read, with some added bytes in bold, from the Atlantic Council/Scowcroft Center for Strategy/Security's Translantic Security Initiative
Based on Russian actions, the 1997 NATO-Russia Founding Act—and its restrictions on NATO’s eastern posture—is no longer relevant.
We should expect Russia, feeling the impact of coordinated Western sanctions and other diplomatic measures, will ramp up the level and intensity of cyberattacks, election meddling, online disinformation, covert activities, and support for extremists in homelands across the democratic world.
You an average American? Glad you have not suffered at all.
You an oligarch? You having a pretty miserable day. Yacht confiscated. Company shut down. Foreign investment confiscated/shuttered. Ability to move funds? Stopped. Basically, you are out of business and your guy is fighting a war where his ass is getting kicked...and will forever...one by one....
Long-term perspectives are dire. If sanctions are maintained, Russia will be cut off from its main trading partners apart from China and Belarus. Rating agencies now predict Russia will soon be unable to pay back its creditors, again with colossal long-term impacts on the economy.
You sound as wimpy as Biden what kind of American are you there's many people who have died for freedom After living under communist rule this is why they're fighting so hard, Ukraine does not want to go back under Communist dictatorship Putin.
Russia is not a communist country. China is. What we have are a bunch of lazy very poor leaders, stupid, bribe taking fascist.
