For me, I'm not buying one until I get a minimum of 400 miles on one charge and every sh*thole town in the U.S. has a charging station. If I'm dropping 60 large on a car I shouldn't have to plan out my long distance road trip according to charging station access.
Even if you do get 400 miles on every charge, how long will that last?

Rechargeable batteries degrade with every charge.

They degrade when it's cold

They degrade when it's very hot

Etc.

Does your iPhone hold the same charge that it used to?

I agree with the first part, there shouldn't be any special government treatment. But if you are a patriotic American then you should appreciate that you support government subsidies. That is what the US government is, politicians spending tax money to repay bribery and that is what every dollar of government spending is. Don't like it? Then stop worshipping the government. Or you can get the subsidies, like me.

And in NJ, the Tesla "dealership" is an hour away from me. There is one supercharger between me and work, very limited. Today, I think you don't get an electric if you expect to need charging stations.

They aren't that smart, bro. They are pretty backwards.
I can partially agree with some of this but the Chinese absolutely know that Marx teachings are flawed, that's why they switched to a capitalist market system.

I worked in China for a couple of years so my opinion of China both pro and con is more knowledgeable than most.

They just had a big celebration for his 200th birthday three years ago. If you think China is a free market capitalist nation, you'd better do some more research!

About like us, a mix of capitalism and Socialism.

I saw more capitalism in Shanghai than I've ever seen anywhere in the USA.

They are nowhere close to "about like us." They are an authoritarian communist / socialist nation. Any perception you have of "capitalism" is just for show.

Wow, that's heavier than my 1974 Nova, which is just 3,252 lbs. or my wife's Outback at 3,634 lbs.

Do you think that the US is a free market capitalist nation?

What percentage of US GDP is government spending? And that's just direct spending, there is much more control on top of that.

Most of them weight just over 3,000 lbs.

Even the bloated Grand Sport is 3,400 and it has all sorts of body kits and extras.

The Bolt is supposed to be like a subcompact and it weighs a massive 3700 lbs! And it's probably one of the lightest EVs on the market.
