Remember: gas powered generators BACK UP the electric grid today!
And who wants to buy large quantities of gasoline and store it at their house?

TWO FACTORS THAT AFFECT BEVS:
[] Power grid capacity
[] Lithium for batteries
Any transition to BEVs will greatly impact both. Negatively.
In contrast, the Laws of Physics recommend electric powered railways because steel wheel on steel rail has a much lower co:efficient of rolling resistance (20:1 advantage over cars).

And exactly what are those improvements? What functionality does electric currently provide that gas doesn't?

People who don't want to rely on the stability of their power grid?

50 yrs of oil
https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/y...-reserves-left

the age of OIL was an increase of energy which gave us fertilizer medicine and more abundant power

the coming use of liquid thorium molten salt reactors is the next big BUMP in cheaper better energy

we will need the OIL for medicine and food production

Okay, so how much gasoline do you have stored at your house (minus what is currently in your automobiles)?

Better acceleration for the price point. Also smoother linear acceleration. Quiet operation. I can also charge overnight and never go to a gas station. I also dont need to go get oil changes. Those are the primary ones I enjoy.

Few people care if others choose to buy electric vehicles, what they care about is EV proponents trying to prohibit them from buying ICE vehicles.

As to the question in the poll I don't think it's a yes or no. I think as EV tech improves use of them will increase but there will remain situations where ICE vehicles are the more practical solution for some time to come. Perhaps a longer time than some people are willing to tolerate. I understand that some auto manufacturers and some states have set arbitrary deadlines for full EV adoption but arbitrary deadlines can be arbitrarily changed if there is too much pushback or if the market does not respond as some people hope and anticipate it will.
