Not necessarily.

It’s way too early for any crops in the Midwest.

Interestingly, when produce is in season, prices at the various farmer’s markets are usually much higher than grocers.

Must be a bumper crop of asparagus, somewhere, this year. Prices have been the lowest I have seen in decades.

On the flip side, limes used to run about 10/ $1. I needed a dozen yesterday and paid $8+ as they were sold by pound. They were bigger and juicer than what is typically available. Time to freeze the juice.

Limes and lemons are sky high but have been for awhile. Lemons are $1 EACH. I guess the days of lemonade stands for kids are over. Well, with the price of lemons along with legal council needed to run such an enterprise these days, a glass would be $7.

Hey, I will send you my shopping list....just have them stick it in a box and overnight to me!!!

My wife just came back from Florida and said you can't believe how cheap food is there.
I am 45 miles NW of Chicago- about the same distance to the Wisconsin border.
It’s a highly competitive area for groceries and many independent green grocers within 5 miles.

Competitive grocery shopping has been a hobby of mine for several years. We do a lot of road trips and it is amazing the differences in prices all over the US.

Teh foundation to our economy is petro based.

Destroy the foundation as Biden has done and the cascade of rising costs will impact every item.

Again, simple deduction that is being ignored, the destruction and ensuing skyrocketing costs intentional.

Useless to discuss details when the intent is left out of the discussion.

Intent to destroy the economy and destabilize society. Create opportunity for federal government control.

and weaken the country to allow enemies to proliferate. Biden is compromised by the left, China and Russia.

The nightmare scenario the founders dreaded and relied on a free press to prevent.

even tilapia starts at 5 bucks a pound where i live, and that's for frozen. used to be able to pick up fresh swai and tilapia at H-mart (korean outlet) on sale for 2.99 not very long ago.

A few months ago cod was $6.99/lb
Then it went to $8.99/lb
Last week it was $12.99/lb and I opted for crab cakes instead.

And this was a fish place that I go to every Friday.
