Anyone who doesn't realize that would be a complete moron. Twitter has been shooting itself in the foot for years pushing BS ideology based censorship. Elon taking over immediately puts that to an end likely bringing millions to the platform.
Without Elon taking it over, it's just a matter of time till it dies.
I canceled my Twitter account when they banned the NY Post for publishing the Hunter Biden story.
I do miss it, and I will be the first in line to create a new account if Musk takes ownership.
I don't want a conservative platform, I just don't want it to be a liberal platform anymore.
I want it to be what it was originally intended to be. A platform for everybody.
I’ve hysterically laughed several times today over this:
Progressives: “Elon Musk can’t buy Twitter or democracy will die!”
Conservatives: “Jeff Bezos bought the Washington Post for a paltry 250 million”.
Progressives: Crickets.
Effing hypocrites. Don’t listen to ONE of them.
Wonder what they would think if someone was to tell them most entertainment is owned by only 5 corporations, and that two major marketing equities, BlackRock and Vanguard, have their ownership in nearly everyone's life one way or another.
They dilute that tragic point in time, by comparing any discomfort in their fragile lives, to it.

"I am frightened by the impact on society and politics if Elon Musk acquires Twitter," Washington Post columnist Max Boot tweeted. "He seems to believe that on social media anything goes. For democracy to survive, we need more content moderation, not less."
the very fate of democracy hangs in the balance
