These animals are the dregs of society. Security officer shot point-blank in the back of his head and robbed. As the corpse laid there, more dregs come by and steal what they can find on the dead man.
Move away from these jackals...avoid them at all costs!
Sadly, this has happened before. And Atlanta has calmed down from its much more violent days in the 1970s-1990s. The thing is, some people are stuck in really bad neighborhoods and can't leave.
Being stuck in a bad neighborhood does not mean losing one's compassion and humanity.
That loss of humanity makes them a part of the really bad neighborhood.
A dead murderer can't kill. However, more violent criminals are being born and raised every day. And many of them are of a nihilistic mindset. They have no respect for anyone, not even family.
Hood rat mentality is a difficult thing to fix. This guy in the video clip below is a good example. James Broadnax. This was back in 2008/2009. He went from south Dallas to Garland to "rob some rich White folks". He killed two people outside of a Christian music studio in Garland. He was interviewed on death row. He expressed no remorse. He literally said he wanted to die. 20 years old at the time.

I'm not saying that being stuck means loss of compassion. I just wanted to mention this. There are some decent people who are stuck in bad neighborhoods. The OP said "leave those jackals behind". Some people are stuck with the jackals. Whenever Black people living in the ghettos get the resources to live somewhere better, they leave.
I just look at American history and all of the stuff that has happened. It is difficult for me to find a time in American history when things weren't messed up.
You can say the same thing about any country in the world. The US is not any worse and better than many. The past doesn’t help us. We have to live in the now and deal with what is going on now. Crime is on the rise, violence is on the rise, aggressive driving on the rise, lack of humanity on the rise. The solution is not in becoming more woke and “tolerant”. The solution is bringing back a respect for God and His ways. The farther we move away from that, the worse this country gets. The closer we get to relying on our own morality, the farther we slide.

Well, I'm not being tolerant. I just have a very cynical view of things. America has always had some degree of moral rot. All I have to do is look to all the racial violence America has dealt with from 1800-1960. That alone is enough for me to think "when has America not had some moral bankruptcy" or "when has America NOT had so many things go on that go against God".
