Hope the 14 year old monster that did this pays for the crimes committed.
Why would anyone's first reaction be to blame the schools? That seems very strange.

The kid, not his school, is responsible.
Did he say why it was his intent to kill her? Did police ask him?

His father is a convicted sex offender.

Nothing has changed. Back then, I saw fathers allow their 10-year old or 12-year-old boys to read the father's Playboys; dads read them right in front of their kids, sometimes with the mother present, who said nothing.

Back in those days, some mothers either gave the situation a boys-will-be-boys (some men will also be perpetual boys) shrug, or had already given up on trying to change their husband's behavior around their son. Some fathers believed, that it was ok to show their son/s that type of material; it was part of becoming a man.

I bet the 14-year-old murderer's sex offender dad had the same philosophy of male-child rearing. Sex talk would make a man out of his son, or justified whatever he exposed his son to as being normal.

Get your facts straight (this is a Major Blunder) ~!

It's the corporations driving the advertising industry that started sexualizing children back when a teenage Brooke Shields was put in sexy poses to sell jeans. Most corporations are owned and run by conservatives. But of course, they're well aware that sex sells, even kiddie soft porn like their ads portrayed, and they're all for whatever will sell their products.

I'm not sure whats more twisted. This 14 year old killer or conservatives trying to tie this horrendous crime to their political demagoguery of the day.

Sex is everywhere. TV, the Internet, billboards. Advertising and marketing is all about sex. Parents entering their pre-schoolers in beauty pageants and sexual deviants in the nightly news.

Five year olds know more about sex from what they have learned from their peers than most baby boomers learned in college.

I have a 5 year old niece that ran into the house this past week complaining about her younger brother of 3 saying "he's showing me his penis". Of course her mother is a physician and the reason for the more formal language.

Combine all of this with true farm/country life where kids learn from watching animals, and help birthing cattle, artificial insemination etc and you are doing children a disservice by pretending sex does not exist.

No doubt there are appropriate and inappropriate ways to approach the subject with children of various ages but trying to ignore it is not one of them. Its in their face almost every day in school or not.

It only makes sense to formalize it and present it in age appropriate ways at an early age.
Young minds can't handle it coming from strangers, which are teachers. They have NO BUSINESS discussing anything sexual with children. It is the parents role.

Wow, some really low life people you know with no morality to speak of.

With all due respect, your side of the aisle didn't hesitate a second to politicize a less that 1% killer virus.
Notwithstanding, let's remove the political discussion from this heinous crime that was committed, please, and thank you.
I note that the perp has been charged as an adult, as it needs to be. He committed murder, and, should he be convicted, should serve out the maximum sentence that the laws of Wisconsin can impose.

If this had happened two years ago, I would have bet money that it was the equivalent of an April Fools joke.
It is planting seeds for gays. The gay community lies when they say they don't recruit. They are and are going after every child.
