Just a reminder that Black Business Month is in August. Be sure to support local black owned businesses.

To me - people can shop where they what for whatever reason they want. When they start telling other's how to shop... then the lines get blurry.

People choose to shop to support different causes its no different than those that choose to support a business because it is Christian owned. Its just marketing to allow an easy way for the customer to identify the products available from that specific group, no different than businesses that have include Christian owned/Christian symbology on their business advertisements for the last 50+ years.

I don't see categories for different races on that list.

Bingo….and I definitely won’t patronize those places. They’re no more special than anyone else. They just think they are.

That’s the problem though. This list IS EXCLUSIVE. Where is the Christian owned, Jew owned, Muslim owned, white guy owned, Asian owned, Latino owned, etc? The very fact that this list doesn’t include all of those and more makes it racist. How about they quit giving a sh1t about that stuff and just sell office supplies.

Exactly. All these corporations kowtowing to be so inclusive, whether they mean to or not, actually end up being exclusive.

Actually, Elon has no African in him at all. He was born European South African. And that indeed makes him a minority.

Now he would correctly be referred to as European American or alternatively, South African American. Which is still a minority in the US.

So if you are a racist or sexist, buy from Staples where you can choose your supplier based on skin color or sexual organs.
you can also choose a Vet or a Small Business or owned by a disabled person.

Surely it's a bit "woke", but not so bad.

Now, if they said "from now on we're dedicating 50% of our suppliers will be Minority and LGBTQ", that would be closing in on racist and sexist.

did you by chance go to their website and see what was assigned to various products?

or just copy/pasted the photo, retrieved from some other social media platform?
