I do believe sex ed is needed, especially in states with high teen pregnancies and high rates of abortion.
Oh honey. No.
Teenage sex happens with the GIRL is in love. Not when only the boy is in love.
Parents know this. If the girl is in love, you can't leave them alone for 5 minutes. If the boy is in love and the girl isn't interested, it's less pressing. Unless, of course, he's a rapist which is a whole nother thing.
Medicaid covers medical issues. It does not pay the many other expenses of raising a child... you know, like food, clothes, backpacks, school supplies, etc.
If it's a self-reporting poll where readers can click in and report their opinions, it's statistically unsound.
You only end up with people who are riled up and interested giving their opinions.
Scroll down to the chart under: Large majorities say abortion should be legal if a woman's health is endangered and in cases of rape, incest or serious birth defects
There are BIG differences in the level of support depending on the reason for the abortion. Less than half of Americans support keeping elective abortions legal.

I was referring to the amount a person earns to receive it. As you can see it's much higher than the person was saying.
The 2/1 ratio of people who want abortion legal in the first trimester isn't evenly split across the country. In states that are largely Republican, their lawmakers are likely to outlaw or severely curtail abortion rights.
That is called democracy; self governance; and it is a wonderful thing.
If the far left-wing extremists hadn't pulled the Democratic Party to such an extreme position, where no limitations on abortion were acceptable, then we might have reached a reasonable compromise long before this.
Bill Clinton was pro-life when he was Governor of Arkansas. Al Gore Jr. was too when he was a Senator. Why did Joe Biden support the Hyde Amendment his entire elective life, even as Vice President?

Don't pretend this is a one sided situation.
I've marched on BOTH sides of this issue during my lifetime - you're right, it's NOT straight-forward.
Far left democrats currently have an extreme position, with abortion offered to nearly full term mothers, as do far right republicans who want to ban abortion for 11 year olds and ban contraceptive pills.
This is hard. It's a huge, huge question, and not one-sided.
The point I'm making, though, is that MOST AMERICANS want to keep abortion available in the first trimester for all women right now.

Well good. You win.
Because abortion is not, nor will be, illegal in the US.

Nope. The ABC/WaPo Poll clearly indicates otherwise. There is less than 50% support for keeping elective abortions legal.
