He might be hesitant to trade a bag of potato chips for a can of soda at the moment. This arms dealer has long been replaced and holds no value for Putin and the Russian public are not demanding his release. The arms dealer might be a smokescreen. Putin may be trying to get something easing sanctions or reducing arms supplied to Ukraine but Biden could not publicly make that deal.

It is a reason to laugh for sure to see one of these losers take it on the chin and made an example of, yes.
