The poor woman did nothing wrong and for a couple of days was made out to be responsible. Must have been terrible. Media and any police who put out this false information should have to pay her.

The police couldn't get into the building because a door was locked and they needed a key to get access, not sure if it was that same door.

This is the problem with relying on school security, mechanical failures human mistakes....

Aside from schools there are many other public places that would need security, just taking a defensive posture waiting for the next shooter that may come years down the line will never work.

Again, the NRA only has 5 million members. To say they are the main reason Democrat gun laws are not passed is not true or even in the same ballpark. Many Americans don't believe the Democrat talking points and they vote. It's a good idea that if you want to get elected and then re-elected that you listen and govern like your constituents expect and sent you for.
Why do you suppose the NRA funds these congressmen in the millions, it's not about gun safety. They are a front for the gun manufacturers and their primary purpose is to protect the industry.

My husband is a gun owner and lifetime NRA member. Decades ago I used to read the literature the NRA sent him. It was all about hunting and technical gun related issues. Then it changed over the years to "good guy (or woman or Granny)with a gun saves......." Very popular theme. Another popular subject was "How to get your wife/SO to like your guns". I found those very amusing. lol

BTW, my daughter works Security at a large Long Island Hospital. No, they are not armed. They radio the police if needed.

It's good to hear why she opened the door in the firat place. There was a lot of rumor and speculation here. One poster said she was probably going out to smoke. Another suggested the door had been left open because the school possibly did not have AC
Well if she was expecting a delivery - the delivery person should have gone through the main doors and been checked out etc. Still not a good thing to do - just open a door that is supposed to be locked.

You are not a gun owner, have no clue what the NRA stands for and for sure you don't know their donations in government to keep the rights of Americans compared to other donations to government which are crickets from you as long that they donate to your team.

Safety? you mean when the party you support can't protect the border and wants to legalize the drugs that are killing Americans everyday? yeah, o.k. It's about safety.

Do you realize that the SC has rejected challenges 99% of the time when they claim the 2nd amendment. Even this current extreme right wing court voted to not even hear California's micro stamp law.

I have and continue to support common sense laws that actually work. The gun community needs to part of a solution stop repeating 2A, 2A. 2A is not what allows you to own a AR-15
Can't rep you again.

A few days ago, it was that she propped it open to get her cell phone. Who makes up all this stuff and feeds it to the media?

Yeah, they call them "Guardia de Palito" in Spanish Countries which means "Stick Guard". Criminals love them the most. A gun vs a stick, I wonder who wins that one everytime.

We have had these guns and the NRA’s lobbyists for decades now, but what’s new is the democrats have bbeen increasingly normalizing -even encouraging - serious violence and disrespect for law and order.

We saw this first hand with their 2020 summer of rage, riots, death and destruction.
We see it with their love fest of thug culture and idolizing the George Floyd types while demeaning police.
We see it in their allowing shoplifting and smash and grab culture.
We see it in encouraging illegals to break our immigration laws bringing in drug cartels and human trafficking.
We see it in their entertainment industy with their movies, videos, games of such perverse violence and depressive depravity and isolation.
We see it in their constant racial division and incitement of race hatred and angry victim mentality.
We see it in their identity politics — dividing us all into separate angry race, gender, cultural resentful groups.
We see it in their constant angry, hateful, vengeful rhetoric and cancel culture towards anyone who disagrees w them.
We see it in their demonizing the founders of this country, of our country’s values.
We see it in the democrat prosecutors increasingly letting repeat violent offenders off.
We see it in their recent abortion bill support of killing FULL TERM babies.
We see it in their demonizing of Christians, Judeo-Christian culture.

If you add it all up candidate and party contributions, independent expenditures, and lobbying the NRA has spent $203.2 million on political activities since 1998. Why can't gun owners stand on their own merits instead of claiming "well look at what all the others are doing"?
