Last I checked, going into the booth to vote doesn't potentially kill someone. You need a license to drive, to hunt and fish. Why can't you have a license to buy or sell a weapon?

Background checks, licenses, raising the age aren't a violation of muh constitutional rights.
I wish the founders had been aware of the "muh" loophole when they created the Constitution. It seems like a glaring oversight to me. Perhaps they could've put something in the preamble about those rights remaining sacrosanct even when someone puts the word "muh" in front of them. Alas they did not, and here we are.
