But it's not about religion to me so what's your point? I don't think anyone needs a whole month to celebrate their sexual preferences whether they be gay or straight. It's attention seeking, IMO. I have also said i don't like whole months dedicated to certain races or ethnic groups either for the same reasons.
It’s celebrating and being proud of achieving civil rights. To live life out in the open like straight people do.

Bingo…but look at me folks crave and need the attention.
I would never go on about being proud of being straight. My sexual orientation is no bodies business and I don't choose to advertise it. Gays are accepted by most these days so why a need for a "pride" month today based on a past descrimination?
1. Its easy for you to say that the homosexuals are accepted. Does the EEOC claim that?
2. The St. Patrick's Day parade, started out as a ethnic minority pride parade by folks facing discrimination. It is still going on, isn't it? If they still want to march, let them.

By the way, I have two very dear gay men friends that I have known for years and they don't feel the need to advertise it by having a "pride" month.
Because it's not a "past" discrimination. It's still a current discrimination. This entire thread is an example of it.
We don't live in many parts of the world though we live here in the USA which is very liberal on a lot of issues and the "pride" month is being held here. Sexual orientation is an achievement? Does the parade last an entire month?
My friends do have equal rights. In fact they got married. I don't agree to a traditional marriage for gays but a civil union is fine. They never flaunt their sexuality and in fact you'd never know they were gay. They act and speak just like hetrosexual couples.
Another example of it NOT being a "past discrimination," but a current one.

What's discriminating about a civil union? Is it all or nothing at all with you people? I can't have everything I want in life either so I settle for what I can have.
