and there are still candidates running for office promoting trump's big lie.
In some districts the re-dedication to Trump's election lie is de rigueur for a Republican candidate, long after it was already de-bunked.
They know it's a lie and yet they have to promote it to get the nomination. The first one to deny Trump's lie will be the last in the polls and will not acquire the backing of the party. This is partisanship over country.
This is the kind of thing that gave the Founding Fathers nightmares.
“What Trump’s gonna do is just declare victory. Right? He’s gonna declare victory. But that doesn’t mean he’s a winner. He’s just gonna say he’s a winner.”
audio released yesterday thru mother jones of Steve Bannon from 2 days before the 2020 election.

And this is where Steve Bannon and Hillary Clinton are in total agreement. They both know Trump, and they both say the same thing about him.
"He lost the Iowa caucus. He lost the Wisconsin primary. He said the Republican primary was rigged against him.
Then Trump University gets sued for fraud and racketeering; he claims the court system and the federal judge is rigged against him.
There was even a time when he didn't get an Emmy for his TV program three years in a row and he started tweeting that the awards were rigged against him!
This is... this is a mindset. This is how Donald thinks. And it's funny, but it's also really troubling. No, that is not the way our democracy works."
I'll never forget how Trump claimed election fraud in 2016. And then *he won*! Yet he still claimed fraud. This is his schtick. He wasn't happy when he won in 2016, and wouldn't publicly accept losing in 2020.

Steve Bannon may decide to flip after he's convicted on Monday.
