Republican operatives connected to the plan to put forward "alternate" electors for Donald Trump are set to turn over information to the Justice Department as soon as this week -- as criminal investigations examining efforts to overturn the 2020 election pick up pace.

The DOJ issued numerous subpoenas in the past few weeks and is seeking information in all seven battleground states where Trump's campaign convened the false electors as part of the effort to subvert the Electoral College. Some of the subpoenas called for Republicans connected to the scheme to provide documents by Friday, sources familiar with the investigation told CNN.
It's the latest step by federal investigators in an already sprawling criminal investigation, and it comes as a parallel investigation in Georgia also shows signs of ramping up amid subpoenas for former Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani and Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham to testify.

Federal agents have issued subpoenas to at least four people as part of the Justice Department's investigation into Donald Trump's alleged plan to overturn the 2020 election results by installing a slate of fake electors to falsely declare him the winner in several states, according to reports.

The FBI carried out "court authorized law enforcement activity" at the home of at least two people connected to the investigation, The Washington Post reported.

The New York Times named two others linked to the alleged plot who have been served with subpoenas.

David Shafer, the chairman of the Georgia Republican Party

Brad lawyer and Republican Party official also falsely claimed to be one of the "duly elected and qualified electors" in Georgia.

Thomas Lane,an official who worked on behalf of Trump's campaign in Arizona and New Mexico, was handed the subpoena by FBI agents at his home in Virginia, according to The Post.

Lane was seen in a December 2020 video posted online by the Arizona GOP handing out papers to a group of Republicans during a ceremony to sign illegitimate election result documents while falsely claiming they had the power to award Arizona's 11 electoral votes for Trump.

Allegations is not a crime without a conviction. Remember, these are the same people behind the Russian hoax, Kavanaugh circus and 2 impeachments. Why would anybody believe anything that comes out of their mouths and has Adam Schiff in charge in searching for the truth?

Because the fake elector documents were submitted to the National Archives as if they were the real ones. You think those document nerds at the Archives are political? Ha!

Oh yeah. And Trump's own Peter Novarro described the whole scheme on live TV, saying it was legit.

I gotta say based on the efforts to derail this thread the January 6th committee seems to be effective. Well plus polling that says if Trumps the candidate 16% of Republicans would either vote for the Democrat, or not vote. That screams loser.

So this next hearings going to be about the roughly 3 hours that Trump watched it hoping for something to occur such as antifa showing up and making a massive violent brawl (Antifa did not show up, all of them convinced this was a trap), And Pence wasnt hung.

Eventually Pence called help in, while Trump watched. This is going to be especially damning.

And Trump loses against them still. Trump is DEEPLY unpopular with the majority. And its rising. And he is DEEPLY popular with the rest who ignore the things he did. Its a recipe for him to lose yet again and cost Republicans.
