Two school administrators in private conversation were discussing the foul language of the students, including the n-word. They were placed on leave. Full story:
"Black people own that word. That’s their word, that’s for no one else to use,"
I thought the n-word was copyrighted by white supremacists racists hundreds of years ago as a derogatory term for Negro, i.e. black, people. Shouldn't it be their word? This woman thinks that only black people should be allowed to refer to other black people as derogatory terms. Does this apply to other derogatory terms as well? Should whites be the only ones who can call other whites "h-o-n-k-y" or "cracker"?
Should white supremacists and racists be the only ones allowed to use the terms "white supremacist" and "racist"?
And where are these kids hearing the "N" word.....from black rappers, who are nothing more then disgusting thugs, and glorify the word to make millions.

Exactly. So if a white person is quoting a song that includes the n-word, are they really saying the n-word or are they repeating lyrics? And if an administrator is quoting a student, are they really saying the n-word or are they relaying what they heard a student say?
If you quote the book Huckleberry Finn or Tom Sawyer, are you really using the n-word? Should Mark Twain be the only one to use those words? He owned them.
Back then the whites used it to divide themselves from blacks.
Now blacks use it to divide themselves from whites,..lol.
When in history has a 'word' ever been solely relegated and owned by an ethnic group, forbidding its use by another?
Then tell me that's a good period to emulate today.
The administrators were a counselor and assistant principal.
Quote:
According to a letter the district sent to parents, there were two separate incidents in which the administrators repeated racist language they heard from students to other adults. Students did not hear them say the n-word.
"We have to careful about the things we say, both what we say, how we say them, and to whom we say them," said Supt. Dr. Jon Dean. "And there are certain things that shouldn’t be said ever to anyone."
Let me get this straight, a counselor and assistant principal are in trouble for using the exact word that a student said when discussing with another adult what the student said, most likely in reference to why a student was in trouble?????
You have got to be kidding me. We are doomed.

In the real world, black people (being not morons) understand the difference of discussing the actual word itself, rather than pejorative usage. American schools are... different. Special even!
