None that I can see after 5 days. There are meds that are supposed to help in the first 5 days. I had covid twice this year. I only tested because my wife had surgery and she tested positive and the doctor wanted me tested too. I never really got sick from covid.

But I’d advise against taking any untested meds or barely tested meds for what amounts to a head cold for the vast majority of people.

But still testing does nothing for you. In fact it’s part of this paranoia over getting sick we should just accept and move along.
It was the hospital's policy. They have the right to set their own policy for visitors.

Thanks for all the replies. I'm concerned because I hope he doesn't have covid, of course, and sometimes I'm around his sister (but I wear mask), so I will avoid her for awhile just in case she's infected. I would want Paxlovid if I had a 106 fever, on the chance the test was a false negative.

Not vaxxed and won't be vaxxed. I can't fathom how some people still believe in it and walk around with a mask on like a robot. I can't even respect someone that is still walking around with a mask on.

Testing is worthless. The vaccine is worthless. The government doesn't care about you nor do the vaccine manufacturers. Pfizer has their hands is so many pockets now they run the CDC.

Big Pharma has always run the CDC and the FDA.

How does someone else wearing a mask negatively affect you? Why would you even care whether someone else wears a mask?

Yes. My family tested negative after having symptoms only to test positive later. It could also be another virus.

I didn't say it affected me negatively. I'm just unable to take them seriously and I'm sure not going to strain my ears trying to understand what they're saying if they attempt to speak. Thankfully most people around here have started living in reality but you still have those people that are wearing a mask outside on a street walk, 90 degrees and no one else around them. But hey, they're saving lives right? lol

A 106 fever is dancing in the doorway of death, OK? At 106.7, it’s labeled Hyperpyrexia, and is an emergency. Anything higher than that can cause brain damage, and even death.

But everyone needs to get over this obsession with Covid. Someone Stubbs their toe nowadays and goes to get tested for Covid. The problem with this is Covid mania is that such a high fever is evidence of a problem that needs to be diagnosed. A negative Covid test doesn’t address that problem, and neither does Tylenol, which only helps reduce the fever, but doesn’t address the cause.

Today, we now have to survive illness, and medicine too.
