People believe anything that seems to validate their perceptions.

BTW, the most famous Trans person and influencer is a life long Republican.
That famous trans person doesn’t support a lot of what is happening with the trans community these days.

What is happening with the trans community that they most object to.

Transwomen in female sports is one thing they have been very outspoken against.

The resentment of trans identity is very real among some gay people, especially mature people. It’s very likely the Equality Act would have passed had it been limited to sexual orientation.

There is no formal definition of ***** as in LGBTQ. Most common seems to be “ questioning”.

Then there are those who invest enormous amounts of time into the alphabet of identities debate. Goofy stuff.

In 2019, Sephora had a compelling commercial targeting and celebrating trans, “ WE belong to something beautiful” with Shirley Bassey’s “ This is my life” soundtrack. It included what appeared to be an 11-12 year old boy discovering make- up and then celebrating his new found identity.

There was immediate pushback from conservative groups who went deep into the cancel culture thing and in doing so, gave Sephora free advertising.

Subsequent, a holiday ad depicting two adult and conservatively dressed men, sharing a kiss created another spectacle, thanks to the million moms thing.

At the end of the day, it’s all about selling product, more so than inclusiveness.

Off the top:

Bio males who identify as female competing with bio females in sports.

Perceived conscription of Pride events

Failure of the national Equality Act

It is my understanding the resentment is mostly from more mature people.so there’s a generational aspect to it, too.

Because the younger people are all indoctrinated and therefore have no resentment.

Dr. Carol Swain, former professor at Vanderbilt, who is a black woman and that gives her more credibility when criticizing BLM in my opinion, talks about the indoctrination at Universities, high schools, and even elementary schools at length.

Here is an example of the “Guiding Principles of BLM”. which is actual curriculum being taught, according to Dr. Swain.

1) Restorative Justice
2) Transgender Affirming
3) ***** Affirming
4) Globalism

I’m sorry, but I don’t want children learning this garbage. But if they are learning (being indoctrinated) does it surprise you that they don’t have as much resentment as older folks who have not been indoctrinated?

I learned a new term this morning. Conversion therapy are attempts to groom a child back to their birth gender from the grooming they got that originally changed their gender identity in the first place, which basically came from being raised around democrat parents and Hollywood and pop culture, despite this idea democrats promote that they were simply born that way.

Get ready for the new norm of allowing gender surgeries right down to the onset of puberty. Times change, and this nation is going to look quite a bit different than it once did. Now I know how the silent generation felt when they saw rock music come around, and then the hippie movement of the 1960's. I guess as long as they turn out to be psychologically stable and healthy adults that have careers and contribute to society, it's all fine and dandy to me. We all know it's not going to play out that way, though. It's nice to know my tax dollars will go towards gender reassignment surgeries for confused 12 year olds. Welcome to America. Enjoy your stay.
The term would be de-programming.

The left is determined to keep people, especially children, from getting the mental health treatment the so desperately need. Instead they want to "assist" them in permanently sexually mutilating their bodies. Read the stories from those that have been butchered and realized too late that they ruined their lives. It is incredibly sad.

This sounds like that "conversion therapy" of the old days, attempting to turn gay people into heterosexuals. That was illegal, too.

No, it's not legal to require people to sit through attempts to talk them out of homosexuality or a gender change, because some don't want them to be or do something the converters don't like. It's not anyone's business whether someone thinks he's gay or wants to change gender. I say this as one who does not agree with changing gender (because, for one thing, gender cannot really be changed - just some superficial aspects).

If we start requiring people to sit through conversion therapy for that, then we should require others to sit through conversion therapy for other things we don't want others to do. Maybe changing people who become ultra-crazy religious nuts back to their natural state when they were children. How about conversion therapy for guys who are obsessed with owning assault weapons? The list is endless. Anything I don't approve of, I can force those people to go through conversion therapy to make them like me or at least acceptable to ME. Because that's what it's about. Stopping people from doing things I don't approve of. While we're at it, let's start a book-banning list. The sky's the limit in a Big Brother country.

This is a separate issue from other supposed rights being claimed by those who have supposedly changed gender, like biological males-turned-female wanting to participate in female sports.

I have heard that comment recently from an older gay couple.
