1) The first round of checks was just shy of $300million while the second round was a total of $164billion and the third checks costs $411billion - so, under $1trillion.

2)And it hasn't and wont pass. So it's academic at best.

We should look into how much the we are missing through corporate tax loop holes and breaks. That wont happen, obviously.

Producing more oil here in the US would be a much better solution. But hey, if your giddy about saving 18 cents, you do you. Just know that it still won't be enough to cover the cost of your 4th of July BBQ.

Speaking of that, can we get an update on how much we'll save on that this year? We saved a whopping 16 cents last year. Maybe Biden will be gracious and will bump it up to 20 cents.

no democrat - except the ones who own oil companies in the past - will EVER understand this.
So still the only answer is, “We don’t know what we’d do. Vote for us.”

Yes, a good article. It makes many of the same points as the Reuters article I posted earlier.

Perhaps look at compensation for oil execs and then re-direct your crazy?

Oil execs can only do so much, especially when your President is doing everything he can to wipe them out of business. Let's do a scenario with your Liberal self.

Say you own a business. We'll call it: Uconn97's Liberal Meat Packing Co

You run a medium-sized warehouse where you package and distribute ground beef and other meat products to groceries stories, restaurants, etc.

Now, let's say tomorrow that the Biden administration wants to move full steam ahead with embracing plant-based products, and says he plans on wiping out the meat industry in the next 10 years. He starts off slow by creating new laws that you have to file more paperwork and to pay for more licenses and permits to operate. After that, he proceeds to allow that to trickle down to every vendor you do business with. To make up for the losses, they increase their prices, regardless of how long they've done business with you. Time passes, and eventually, you have to increase your prices with everyone YOU do business with.

Meanwhile, while you're adjusting costs, dealing with having to shell out more money for new licenses, and other hoops and barrels, just to keep your business afloat, you're being constantly reminded that Biden's goal is to "eliminate big meat" so we can all have a plant-based diet by 2035. Now imagine there's a meat shortage. Now you're really struggling to stay afloat. So Biden decides he wants to meet with you and all the other big wigs in the meat industry, so he can demand you all ramp up production, cut down costs, and supply as much product as possible.

Meanwhile, while he's giving you his demands, a reminder pops into your head that the same man who wants you to bend over backwards, is also the same man who's going to wipe your business and entire industry out of existence. So ask yourself, why would you dedicate that much time, money, energy, and resources to the same person who wants to make your industry go extinct?

That is literally what the oil companies are dealing with right now. They're in the business to make money, and prosper. Not go broke up and out of business. Also, if these oil companies are so greedy, then what stopped them from being so greedy in 2020? You think they really gave a damn about a pandemic? If they can make a profit, they will.

But hey, I guess someone has to cheerlead for Biden.

Yes, only...

It doesn't matter, as production will be increasing.

Back to the subject:
Let me get this straight. Gasoline has increased more than $3/gal since Harris/Biden, now he offers us a $0.18/gal cut?

What exactly is this $0.18/gal cut supposed to fix? Especially being temporary?

it worked, it will work soon again. we could ask the same of you - what proposal or action in place since jan 21 2021 is actually WORKING?
How - what plan? Gas was down because people weren't going to work or on vacations. Yanno? Is that the plan?
