More jobs in New York as well. Can migrants work until their cases are vetted?
Well, let's see. If you assault somebody, you can be released from jail long before your case is vetted... if you pay a nice high bail. Or if you rob a bank, or steal a car, or commit any of the other crimes that are becoming so prevalent today. Will NYC let them stay around if they pay a substantial bail to ensure they will show up for their hearing?
But, hmmm... that's no longer true in New York since 2020 when they changed the bail laws in that state, is it?
So, I don't see why not. If you rob a bank in NYC, you are often let out the same day to go on committing other crimes, without posting any bail at all. If you enter the state as an illegal alien, why shouldn't the same apply?
You realize 50 people arriving in New York is nothing.
Washington DC has already received 80-plus busloads of illegal aliens from Texas and Arizona. And they're just getting started - the border states have millions of illegals they would love to get rid of.
Kudoes to DC and NYC for boasting about how generous they are to illegals, homeless, etc., and how they are "sanctuary cities" who don't intend to deport the illegal aliens. The border states will keep right on giving them more to be proud of!
I just had a thought. Imagine the outrage if the 2 greatest scandals that the Democrats are pushing on America were to meet?
Imagine a bus load of Illegal Aliens arriving in NYC, that the Left has swung wide the gates to at the Border gets held up by a career criminal that the Left has swung wide the gates of the criminal justice system so he can continue his crime spree?
I bet that happens way more than we hear already. These illegals are probably not living in the some nicer gentrified area. They are stuck around the thug lands. And as such probably more prone to being victims of said thugs.
When they overtake available shelter space. I hope they bus so many in that it makes the area look like a refugee camp. To a democrat, this crisis is all the republican's fault anyway. They're so pathetic.
