No person is above the law, and Trump had no official government capacity position when he took those documents, not does he have a government capacity position when he was requested to return those documents and did not do so.
He had no right under any circumstances to have those documents in his possession.

I would be willing to accept that if it were true, but oddly enough EVERY POLITICIAN except Trump is apparently above the law, particularly if they are on the left. If what he took was so bad then why did they wait over 18 months to take it back?
