Maybe if millennials had no global competition, were able to buy nice homes on an mediocre salaries, were not saddled not just by their own debt, but those of the greatest generation, like you guys did......

Boomers are a perfect example of what happens to the attitude of people whose outcome was determined by luck, circumstances and timing way more then they'd like to admit.

Hard work. American exceptionalism. Christian values. I guess that sounds way sexier than saying "we obliterated and killed all our competition".

According to FBI crime data, the crime rate in Florida city is 126 crimes per thousand residents, making this not only one of the most dangerous cities in Florida, but also one of the most dangerous cities in the country. Florida city is dangerous for a combination of reasons:
The risk of being the victim of a violent crime is almost 1 in 43
Violent crimes are on the rise in part because gun laws tend to be laxer, making it easier for people to access firearms and commit violent crimes
Poverty levels in this area are high, at 41.2%

Poverty and Ignorance that’s the main problem. But wealthy steal n kill too. They just clean it up better.

Per US census:

Florida City - 53% Black, 47% Hispanic or Latino. 31% poverty. Probably high gang activity.

Who here got spanked as a kid with a wood board ? I never was . How you feel and did it change you ? I learned more by example. Honesty, work ethics, integrity, fairness and respect of others and myself

Well, I am not one of those, and I don't think anyone outside the home should spank a kid, but I DO think that spanking should have a comeback -- as long as it's only on the butt and not more than once or twice.

I was a spanked child. Mom thought that's what kids butts were for. If me or my sister ignored her verbal admonishment regarding our behavior, she would simply pick us up, turn us over her thigh, and give us one or two swift smacks on our butt -- not our thighs, no where other than our butt. Then she would stand us up, turn us to face her and in a very clear, set voice tell us in no uncertain terms why our behavior was unacceptable. Our only acceptable response was to say, "Yes, ma'am." Then she would send us on our way and we knew not to do that again.

If a kid misbehaves at school, they should be sent to the office and their parent should pick them up and deal with the behavior as they see fit. End of story.

No one special. A multi-million dollar business owner, a couple of Stanford PhDs, one lawyer, another dentist.

Most of my old friends are just average Joes and most are just high school graduates, but they all did pretty well in life due to hard work.

Oh, two high school friends (one a good friend) became major rock stars. You would know them if I told you.

It’s a popular pornography trope so it’s been in the American lexicon for a while.
Probably spurned more sexual fantasies than good behaviors.

I predict there will be a 'Paddlers Story Hour' at local libraries soon.

You're making a very circular reasoning argument. And a philosophical/ideological at that. Your argument is about benefits of spanking/punishment, rather than whether or not it's prudent, practical and effective for school employees to do so.

Therefore, that context is irrelevant to you?
You are not understanding. nip it in the bud. If a child is corrected when they are young and learning they will not "need it most" (assaulting teachers) by the time they are teenagers. If they are not disciplined/spanked, they grow to think there are no consequences for bad behavior.

My argument is not about benefits of spanking in school but whether it is effective in certain circumstances to keep order and control in the classroom. Not all parents care or discipline their children so teachers have no recourse there. They cant continue to have the same students disrupting their class all year long. Some parents would rather a punishment be a spanking rather than a week long suspension or dentition. It is not like this is mandatory, parents are given a choice.

I think if parents cant resolve their child's behavior issues and dont want the school to discipline their child, the child should be suspended permanently from the school so teachers dont have to deal with it at all.

Congratulations. Are you a parent yourself?

In today's public school system with all the pedo's, molesters, gender confused, etc, employed there, I can see how this is going to really go wrong. It's just a question of time, when.
