Actually, Trump went AGAINST Fauci from the beginning.

Fauci, who opposed China travel ban and praised their transparency, criticizes Trump response

Fauci first spoke about the wearing of masks amid the COVID-19 pandemic during a March interview with 60 Minutes.

"Right now, in the United States, people should not be walking around with masks," Fauci said during the interview. "There's no reason to be walking around with a mask."

He continued, "When you're in the middle of an outbreak, wearing a mask might make people feel a little bit better and it might even block a droplet, but it's not providing the perfect protection that people think that it is."

BS.

The kind of masks recommended by the CDC/Fauci early on were cloth masks. There was no risk to medical PPE (which is not cloth masks) from this recommendation

Sure they should or had to be N95, but very few had them or access to them at the time.

The point is medical grade PPE are not cloth masks. There was no risk to the medical PPE supply telling folks to wear cloth masks.

That was a lie Fauci trotted out to explain away inconsistent statements.

He's also arrogant and won't accept any kind of criticism of him. He denies any damage from the lockdowns. He's a loser.
