Go ahead and provide some examples. IME most of these comparisons neglect to take into account the timing of the statements. In medicine, especially novel Covid related, with ever changing facts on the ground, real time may yield a different answer than in retrospect.

The kind of masks recommended by the CDC/Fauci early on were cloth masks. There was no risk to medical PPE (which is not cloth masks) from this recommendation

Sure they should or had to be N95, but very few had them or access to them at the time.
