The classification review and intelligence assessments being conducted by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, however, will be allowed to continue.
We don’t know yet who will be appointed as Special Master - my guess is, it won’t be Bill Barr.
We DO KNOW what the Judge’s Order says — that’s available online
Page #2 and Page #3 of Judge Aileen Cannon’s ruling cites a quote from the DOJ own legal filing, dated May 10th, that Joe Biden ordered the National Archives and Records Administration to provide access to the FBI to review the Trump records. Note the quotation marks:
On May 10, 2022, NARA informed Plaintiff that it would proceed with “provid[ing] the FBI access to the records in question, as requested by the incumbent President, beginning as early as Thursday, May 12, 2022.”
Oops ! Biden not only knew about the RAID on Donald Trump’s home — he ordered it.
August 24, 2022, Joe Biden was questioned about how much notice he had regarding the FBI raid on President Trump’s home at Mar-a-Lago in Florida.
Question: “Mr. President, how much advanced notice did you have of the FBI’s plan to search Mar-a-Lago?“
BIDEN: “I didn’t have any advanced notice. None, zero, not one single bit.”
I'd never heard the term "special master" until a week or two ago (I suppose it's a common legal phrase), but yes, the allegations should be reviewed by an independent, legitimate person. The approval should have been a no-brainer.

So I agree Trump should not have taken the documents out of the office. BUT this new requirement is fine. What I don't think many realize. BOTH parties have to agree to the Master and what the limits of that Master are.
And then once the Master has completed his task, he presents it to the judge and then either side can appeal the judgements.
So this is going to go on for some time. Not sure this works well for either party.
It is going to be a long drawn out process.
