From the above, a very succinct summary, QUOTE, my italics:

X Strategies LLC senior digital strategist Greg Price wrote, "They're declaring 50 people being flown to a town that takes thousands of visitors per year a humanitarian crisis."

"Wow, 50 illegal aliens caused a ‘humanitarian crisis’ on Martha's Vineyard. Just imagine the crisis the policies advocated for by MV and Massachusetts have caused in places that get hundreds or thousands of illegal every single day. Screw them, send more," Townhall.com columnist Derek Hunter wrote.

EpochTV host Hans Mahncke tweeted, "’humanitarian crisis’ The pearl clutching over a situation which the pearl clutchers themselves created and yearned for is so totally off the charts that even terminal stage TDS sufferers should be able to recognize it."

"Over 100,000 vacationers travel to Martha's Vineyard every summer. It's a ‘humanitarian crisis’ to house 50 people in the off-season?" Washington Free Beacon senior investigative reporter Alana Goodman wrote.
[END QUOTE]

(I like the last quote the best.)

Looks like Karine did not get the response from the GOP she was hoping for, LOL!

Because, Martha's Vineyard voted overwhelmingly for President Biden and the Democratic Party, who are pro-illegal immigration. Martha's Vineyard residents are finally feeling the pain of the policies they support. Usually, this pain is only felt by the border towns.

do you think border towns in texas are rich? small border towns like del rio and others have 1000 or more arriving everyday! "October (2021) at the Del Rio border sector alone saw over 28,000 illegal migrants apprehended from 50 different countries."

The second and third thing that happened to you would not have happened if the first thing didn't. Still want to treat them as humans?

It's time they are treated like what they are -- criminals, who have broken the law.

Charities are the reason that illegal aliens continue to come to this country. They provide a lot of cover for people who are criminals.
Ah yes, the ages old argument of "well if they weren't here in the first place"

You think "charities" are the reason illegal aliens continue to come to this country? LOL. Wow.

IMO, Biden had made a really bad situation worse. And he will get the Ds arses kicked in November. But having been in Texas a really long time I know Texas welcomed illegals for years.

Texas was Mexico. Martha's Vineyard was not. Texans loved those cheap houses and chicken parts. Nobody gave a dam as long as it was Mexicans.

Now that they are coming from Central and South America and goodness knows from where else, it's a different story.

Ok, thanks. I get it.

But 20K people to make a point. My voting precinct has that many people.

This will burden the MV jurisdiction to accommodate illegals - I heard they didn't even have a court house to process asylum claims. That will change! Look for new spending and then tax increases to sort this mess.

But more to the point, to those wealthy part-time residents, the only reason they're in MV in the first place is that it's a sleepy, idyllic place reminding them of America in the 50s (it helps that its an island). MV is not that beautiful really, it's just quaint. Well it's about not to become so quaint. Look for real estate prices to plummet.

Eff them, all of them. Go DeSantis!

No offense but I would consider Cubans POC - or aren't they black enough? They were the original illegals but they vote Republican for the most part, so you won't include them? The demographics of both areas are roughly the same but Martha'a Vineyard hasn't had boat loads of immigrants landing on their shores for decades.

Clearly your post doesn't align with the facts.

The issue is illegal immigration.
Illegal immigration is in fact a congressional issue so keep slapping that head. Does congress have a solution, do those senators from Texas have a proposal. Please don't tell me the worn out solution of a wall. Bussing illegal immigrants to places like Martha's Vineyard on a taxpayer funded private jet and calling a press conference and laughing it up is juvenile.
