It's also the same as Clinton's just before his first mid-terms. How this will impact the mid-terms, especially on the House, is yet to be seen. My suspicion is that the Dodd's decision is going to bring a bunch of voters who normally don't out to the polls.

Back when Reagan was President everyone answered their phone for whoever called. Now only idiots answer unknown callers.

He's doing a fine job considering his age and his mental condition - better than I might have guessed at the outset. He understands government work, composure and decorum. Great improvement after 4 long years of DJT.

Reagan had full-blown Alzheimers his 2nd term in office, written about by both his son and daughter years after his death. I remember his daughter's book, "The Long Goodbye" about the devastation of Alzheimers and how it impacted her and the family.

Great efforts were made to obscure his condition. Nancy ran things behind the scenes, along with a group of senior staff. Ronnie was able to appear in controlled press conferences and was able to read the teleprompter. His most trusted advisors knew and helped as best they could.

President Reagan didn’t have Alzheimer’s while in office https://www.cnn.com/2018/01/09/opini...ley/index.html

No drama Biden, just like no drama Obama. He was exactly what the country needed after four years of chaos.

As for the OP, this was supposed to be the GOP's election. They should have had this in the bag. But they shot themselves in the foot, first with Dobbs and then by their continuing support of a man who is clearly a criminal and an enemy of the state. Watching the right continue to defend the ex-president for stealing sensitive government documents and refusing to return them has not done any favors to the Republican party's chances. And they are going to pay for it in November.

Biden should not be mentioned in the same sentence with him. Reagan was one of the greatest presidents ever.
