Are they not? Cheap labor? Consumers? You think the capitalists wouldn't stop illegal-immigration immediately if it was bad for the economy? Just imagine what would happen to the economy if we deported the 20+ million illegals.

I didn't say any of the laws needed to be fixed. I spoke to where they needed to be enforced. Some of them, the DHS Secretary is flouting. Some long-held policies that Mayorkas is given wide leeway over he has changed or ignored. Even Obama got in trouble with the Liberal Dems because he was the "Great Deporter".

If I really need to go find all the Biden/Mayorkas declarations about how they were nearly-halting deportations and why, I can. I just assume anyone with any interest in the topic is well aware of what they said. However, I will provide the results:

Quote:
The agency carried out 59,011 deportations in fiscal year 2021, an all-time low, according to historical ICE data. The previous low came in fiscal year 2004, when ICE recorded 175,106 deportations.
FWIW, during Trump approximately 1MM were deported. And again, there remain 1MM+ that have been told by an immigration judge "No. Go." that Mayorkas has expressed he will do nothing to ensure they leave.

Nobody really knows because we don't know how many illegals or now-citizen children dependent upon government assistance there are.

It's only the rich and greedy employers who benefit from cheap, illegal labor and they just pocket the profits from them while the rest of us pick up the tab for the over $100 billion a year they cost for their social costs. Our economy would be much better off without them.

They have also overcrowded our schools, jails, hospitals, road and neighborhoods and add to our crime rates. They commit felony ID theft and/or tax evasion. They take up all the affordable housing by living several to a household. They and their greedy employers cause discrimination in hiring Americans for a fair wage. In the construction industry you won't get hired unless you speak Spanish and are willing to work for half price.

How anyone can defend this and make claims that they are good for our economy is beyond me!

No, they are straining an already strained infrastructure an social welfare state.

And spare me the tired, old Marxist flapdoodle. It's just stupid.

So you're saying our GDP numbers aren't higher because there are 20 million illegal-immigrants living here? You think our GDP would go up if we removed them from the country? What the hell does this have to do with Marx? This is about capitalism baby.

These are just little taglines your ilk has made up to make yourselves feel better.

No what he did was the best piece of political performance art since the Yippies.

What is unconscionable is touting yourself as a compassionate community and then balking and panicking when the brown people show up.

The people of Massachusetts including Martha's Vineyard never cease their moral preening. This is the society they claimed to want and DeSantis gave it to them.
