Well, I was thinking both Florida and Texas would be reliably Blue in single-digit years.

But, the Dems are proving themselves to be both fully-insane and horribly-pathetic when they
get into power..........so, it may be never, hopefully.

not in past years, but they massively turned to the GOP after they saw the Marxism involved in the 2020 riots and Democrat platform. They correctly identified the situation as the seeds of Communism

Florida (like Texas) exemplifies that having a high level of demographic diversity does not necessarily benefit Democrats. The state's lack of income tax is among the factors that draws more conservative minded people, and ensures Republicans have an electoral advantage since voters don't want such policies to change.

Florida becoming a solid red state isn't necessarily bad for Democrats in the electoral college. There are a lot of conservative, middle class to affluent baby boomers and Gen-Xers moving in from Michigan and Pennsylvania every year which helps to keep such Rust Belt states competitive even as Florida gets redder.

When will Florida turn from Purple to Blue state?
During the Cold War, the most anti-socialist immigrants found a welcome haven & hub here, even if they had at best a questionable record on human & civil rights.

If FL were to go Blue and implement an income tax there would be a waiting list for moving trucks.

It will get redder the next several decades. I suspect by 2032, it will not be contested for POTUS, with the GOP simply coasting to victories in Florida.
