A timely reminder might be in order; you're posting this stupidity in a thread started by an American critisizing his own country's political nonsense using Canada as a "positive" example soooooo -- it didn't start with Canadians criticizing you for anything, rather your own people doing that. It also only took 6 posts before some of you Americans started up with your usual arrogant and ignorant stupidity.

Again - no surprise from the rest of the planet you're 'confused'. It's almost certainly something in the water down there.
How many secessionist movements has Canada had in the last 50 years? LOL.

The thread title is: If you believe the left will destroy the country why are Canada and Europe not destroyed?

Try not to get so defensive when people talk about Canada in a thread that is asking about Canada.
(Also you're proving my point that Canadians jump on any opportunity to criticize us, when in fact they should be thanking us for their free defense ~ you're welcome btw).

We chose to be the worlds superpower. We spend trillions in the middle east in wars that had nothing to do with protecting Canada or Europe. Or even America for that matter. We were just feeding the Military Industrial Complex. Something Eisenhower warned against. Our military budget is bloated. We have nukes. No one is going to start a ground war here, in Canada or in NATO countries.

Wrong. The Middle East was all about securing energy pipelines to...wait for it....

EUROPE.

Europe in all their infinite wisdom, chose to criticize us, while striking deals with Russia and shutting down their own domestic energy production.

How's that working out for them now?

False. We were dragged into it kicking and screaming when Europe decided to blow itself up twice and call us for help.

We didn't join WWI until 1917 and WWII until 1941 (1942 in earnest). We became the superpower because Europe was flattened and there was a power vacuum and it was either us or the Soviets occupying that vacuum.

There are no pipelines going from Iraq to Europe. Nor from anywhere in the middle east to europe.

No. It was a Neocon plan to secure military bases in the middle east. And Afghanistan does not have oil. Europe was buying oil from Saddam before the Iraq war. They still are today. Who writes your material?

All jest aside, cutting off money supplies you earned is easily abused politically; yet we still must do so for drug cartels and such.

So now you're going to use a feature noted as a hallmark of a free and democratic society to make some sort of deflection point apropos of what exactly?

Counterpoint: How many Presidents and other notable political figures have been assassinated in the U.S.?

You should perhaps take some time to scroll down the various titles of the threads in this section of the forums then get back to us with a relevant query.

We prefer our system of political upheaval to the most recent examples of embarrassing debacles you've had to tolerate.

We understand your chagrin at your present circumstances. Take heart, it too will pass like yesterday's burrito.

As long as you're happy being an insignificant participant in the world, I'm ok with that, with the occasional threat of succession by the French counterpart of your "country"! (you still have Britain's royals on your currency, lol)

Why insult Canada? They do things their way, we do things our way. Wow.
